Ken has contributed to the magazine almost since the beginning and as the new Editor he still can’t quite believe that he gets to spend all day, every day talking to people about old dirt bikes – what a way to spend your time at work! A mad keen dirt bike rider in the seventies and a very average motocrosser, Ken has marveled spectators at current day vintage mx events with his distinct lack of speed. He can fill last spot on any of his favourite rides, which currently happens to be one of his late ‘70s Kawasakis, his Ossa Phantom or his CZ. Also lurking in his shed are his Yankee 500Z, a KT trials bike and a few other projects.
A staunch advocate of the VMX motto of ‘Same old dirt, same old bikes, same old fun’, Ken just enjoys getting out there and to hell with the trophies! His love of the old dirt bike scene and his doggedness in finding great bikes and stories from around the globe will keep you hanging out for every issue. Ken doesn’t mind if you laugh more at his riding or his stories as long as it keeps you smiling.
