This is the place to go to catch up with old mates and meet new ones.
Friday
is a no riding day so after you have checked in to ride, bought your fill of merchandise, renewed your VMX Magazine subscription settled into your perfect camping spot and you are a little thirsty, please find your way to the amazing Drunken Drover aka The Bruce ‘Magoo’ McFarland Bar for a light refreshment or two.
Saturday
– after a hard day’s riding. As part of the entertainment, Ken will be hosting his famous trivia competition. Then your VMXMag team will be auctioning some signed memorabilia to raise some much-needed funds for the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation. We shared the list with you about 2 years ago but it has been awhile, so here is a recap of that list. Your winning bids will go to an amazing cause to find a cure for paralysis caused by spinal injuries: CZ jersey signed by the ultimate CZ hero, Jaroslav Falta. This is a super high quality jersey made in Germany and is XL (says XXL) , VMX Magazine Classic Dirt 5 t-shirt signed by the legendary Joel Robert (XL), Suzuki cap signed by “The Man” himself Roger DeCoster, Suzuki jersey signed by our good friend Brad Lackey (XL), VMX Magazine Classic Dirt 15 t-shirt signed by Donnie Hansen (2XL), VMX Magazine Event Staff t-shirts, from Classic Dirt held in year 2000, yes the original. There’s 1x M and 1 x XL – these are real classic items of memorabilia that really ‘turn back time’, USA VMXdN 2008 team t-shirt (L) and cap – two sets – all pieces signed by Tim Ferry (MX3 winner) and Ryan Villopoto (MX2 winner). Donated by Rosco Holden, Maico jersey signed by Jack Pengelly. Donated by Rosco Holden, Gaythorne Yamaha jersey signed by Andrew Bailey. Donated by Rosco Holden, Preston Petty front mudguard signed by Preston Petty, Malcolm Smith signed numberplate, KTM poster from 1977 signed by Genaddy Moiseev and Vladimir Kavinov – it’s not clear whether the signatures are part of the poster or on top but either way it is a cool poster and you won’t find another one! and CZ ‘Little Red’ and Siege poster signed by Little Red!
Please dig deep and bid hard to support a very worthy cause in the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation.
Sunday
– unless you have to pack and go home, as per Friday, rinse, repeat and make plans for next year’s event.
